Limbo
arriving moscow its 10 below
3 a.m negative tropics
he has only a shirt
outside the native clan sediment
a fellow disease
i am your comrade and the weather is no indiscretion
ah spoke the talisman
who had no clean position
here is your innuendo
belonging to a long dead aficionado
it was a many colored coat
not known to have stayed around
it will cover you to the border
and then it will let you down
limbo respited walked round
so as to lose his prelate and forward staring
pre-req of landing unarmed
he saw in visceral
the airport was a glaring corpse
de-copetic so his holes did relate
but it was not embargo
he was no infantry type
that was conditional
no fat in the nest
but long gone tribunal
skunked on a battery
and saying i don't do that
for the eagle eye
he had no motive
and was ponderosa mostly
taking it upon himself to invent prescriptions
for all the inhabituals in his missions
being non furniture he would try them out on the embankment
unzoned histories elbowing charred servant feats
and bypassing slavery on a small frail byway
then landing for supper a deserted idea
thinking this paradiceamatic a very good place
to learn funeral moves
while in the house
the stove cope was always spout on
some rum insane vine clinging to messes
heap a light heap a light
the invective mercy of class missionary
in these states limbo would soon make off
to defrocked escalator where he could hunt
i want to go up
he'd tell the war council
it the perfect equator to enter you arrive
no one knows over church
you just have to figure and fix things
there's only so much clay
they say well let's have an interrogation
alluding to a big plan
limbo would sit on an available
like an arbitrary mishap
having no relatives
he would speak in plain languages
where were you born?
in a seed like a motor
and carrying with him a slight infliction
concerning colors
which would suddenly loom out of the mouths
of these safely proclaimed creatures
who were his friends first and then a sort of room
in which he ran plans and facts of occupation riveting
steadfast and lurid to the tune of a tollbooth conscript
and with the root beat he was a ruthless tammy cloth
using a form of time neglect wherein everything was abducted
immediately upon annihilating all so callous signs
and the creatures on color were put on a without wall prescript
and sped up past the speed of right
and there walked sophist
and he had no infliction
the loose toy from the docks
the plumber entering from the window
in trick and primate
in moscow they turned out the lights
and limbo left uncertainly
he was rootless that was his use
outside his coat attacked
in a report of foreign weather
I'm just a presence going don't bother me
what kind of world is that
to come coded for quixote
its off heat
what make you move so con man?
limbo he move away he say
i got my congenital will on
it go crash it go faster
Sonic Youth is one of those bands where you easily run out of superlatives to describe what they created. This could've easily come off as a cynical cash-grab by a band that had broken up 11 years prior to the release of this record, but that's not what this is. Some of my favourite Sonic Youth instrumentals. sentient meat
Kansas City trio Flooding draw out the more mystical qualities of slowcore and noise rock for a heavy sound that's less stony than doom. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 26, 2023
A killer re-release of a rare solo post-punk LP from 1988 by the frontman of Taste of Decay and Garden of Pleasures. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 17, 2022
